Another Reason to Despise George W. Bush

Baku, Azerbaijan
So I am now in Baku – the capityal of Azerbaijan. Its a weird place. Its a shopping city and not much else it seems – but maybe i didnt look hard enough.
There are endless clothing and electronics stores downtown to tantalize all the foreign workers and oil barons of this oil rich centre. Lots of fancy cars and lots of British football pubs.

Heat Wave in the Hills of Turkey

Alucra, Turkey
So I am now in Alucra and watching Turkish dance videos on the TV at 7 in the morning.
We have just started day 3 of a 4 day stretch of riding on the tour that could potentially be the toughest for the riders on the WHOLE route. From the Beach to the Brothel

Last night was our second night on the road. Our preparation for the tour went very well and were happy to be on the move and settling into the routines that were accustomed to on our other tours and sleeping in places that aren’t even given a second thought by other tour operators – like a brothel.
